The BV antibody of Guangxi Primate laboratory animals were detected by the antigen of HSV 1、BV and BV DIA dot.The results showed by HSV\-1 was quite different from those detected by BV,BV DIA dot.The differences between them were very significant \%(P<0.01)\%,but the difference between BV and BV DIA dot,were not significant \%(P>0.05)\%.After 2,4 and 6\|month breeding,we used the same antigen to exam those monkeys with negative BV antibody detected by HSV\-1 and BV,BV DIA dot.The results showed that the turning positive rate of BV antibody detected by HSV\-1 was quite different from those of the two others \%(P<0.01)\%.Since the mid of 1999,we have exported 1389 BV negative monkeys detected by BV antigen to USA,Holland,Japan,and German soon,and all of them meet the requirements of the guests.

A comparative study was conducted among the newly isolated B virus strain 147(BV147),herpes simplex virus type 1(HSV-1) and herpes simplex virus type 2(HSV-2).The results showed that difference in CPE produced by BV147,HSV-1 and HSV-2 could be observed in Vero cell,BV147 typically produced syncytial CPE. Another difference in the spread of infection within the monolayers could also be seen among the three viruses.Differences in positive reaction with anti\|BV hyperimmune sera still existed among the three viruses with SPA immunoperoxidase staining.Positive reaction was over 80% in BV147 infection within the monolayers while only 50%～70% even at 30～36 h in HSV-1.It indicated that the substitution of HSV-1 antigen would result in falsely negative results in BV antibody detection.

The propose of this experiment is to determine the energy requirement of adult beagle dogs.Two\|year old adult male beagles were used in this study.Twenty dogs were divided into four groups and each group had five ones.Each dog was kept in a stainless steel metabolism cage and each group had one of four energy level diets for six weeks.Dogs were fed once a day and weighed weekly.Feces were collected in the third week.Constancy of body weight was used as the main criterion for the assessment of maintenance energy.The maintenance metabolism energy requirements of adult beagle dogs was 281KJ/kg.d.

Preliminary quality comparison between 2 brand (Tiantan and Difco) artificial media for mycoplasma pulmonis has been conducted. No significant quality difference has been observed between them. For both media, the soft-agarose culture method has been proved to grow 100ul inoculum of 10 -7 dilution of positive sample while that of broth culture has been proved to grow 100ul inoculum of 10 -9 dilution of the same sample in terms of sensitivity test. When these 2 artificial medias are used for quantifying living mycoplasma cells in a control sample, Tiantan media gives rise to 8 5×10 -8 CFU/ml while Difco gives 1×10 -9 CFU/ml. When the 2 medias are used for storing mycoplamsa under -20℃, the activity of the organism decreases 1 Log level within 2 months, but declines sharply after 6 months. The growth and development of mycoplasma pulmonis on Difco medium are superior to Tiantan media.

On the basis of the techniques of superovulation,collecting of fertilized eggs and their oviduct transfer in laboratory mice,in this study,the deep freezing method of Vitrification to the early embryos from C57BL/6J\,BDF1\,A/wy and Kunming mice were applied.The survival rates of shawed embryos and live youngs,which are from both freezed embryos and non\|freezed ones,were observed.The study might provide some useful references for the embryo banking in mice.

For seeing partial bacteria of cleaning animals in conventional laboratory rodents and validating the effect of the culture media selected,8 strains of laboratory rodent were detected.The results showed that the infective rates of Pasteurella Pneumotropica in KM mice were 60%,C\-\{57\} mice were 10%,SD rats were 10%,Wistar rats were 20%; Bordetella Bronchiseptica in Guinea pigs were 30%.Total rates of bacterial infection were 20% (Pasteurella Pneumotropica were 16.25 %,Bordetella Bronchiseptica were 3.75%).The selected culture media was effective.

In this experiment, the test of chronic toxicity, observation of micronucleus rates of the rats, Ames test and the test of deformity of Sperms of rats were carried out to assess the safety of chitosan prepared from Dendrolimus Germar (CDG). The results showed that CDG had no toxicity and was very safety.

To investigate the effects of obstruction of low urinary tract(LUT) on automatic contractilities of detrusor strip, the model of obstructive of Wistar rats LUT was made. The cystometry was detected after 6 weeks, then automatic contractile range and the frequency were detected by transducer. All the results were divided into DI group and non DI group as with or without DI. The results showed that automatic contractile range and the frequency of detrusor stip increased significantly in non DI group in contrast with DI group and and control group( P<0.05 ),and with no difference between the latter twos. It suggested that the obstruction can cause the change of frequency of detrusor's automatic contractility. The obstruction of LUT is an important element of DI.
