objective:to observe the stability of replication and generation of HBV gene in transgenic mice.Methods:The analysis of HBV DNA in serum (1~8 months) and integrated HBV DNA in the transgenic mice of 48 #\,87 #\,90 #lines by using nest\|PCR\,Southern blot\,immunohistochemistry.Result:Serum of three lines HBV transgenic mouse is with HBV DNA,and the positive rate in one month of age is the hightest,but the positive rate changes with months,and there are differences between lines\,bodys and months.Conclusion:HBV genes in the transgenic mice may be replicated and have been inherite five generations now.

Objective:To determine the neuronal degeneration in the inner nuclear layer of RCS rat.Methods:The retinal tissue were collected from RCS rats with ages ranged from 18,20,28,35,42,45,56,60,70 to 100 days.The retinas of normal age\|matched SD rats served as control.Immunohistochemical method was applied to label horizontal cell,rod bipolar cells and amacrine cell by using antiserum of calbindin,PKCα and calretinin,respectively.Morphometric study was also performed.Results:Comparing with normal SD rat retinas,retinal degeneration,including outer and inner nuclear layers,was observed in RCS rat retina after postnatal 18-20 day.Morphometric study showed that there was loss of horizontal cells after postnatal 60 days,loss of rod bipolar cells after 20 days,and loss of amacrine cells after 20-35 day in the inner nuclear layer of RCS rats.Conclusions:Our results indicated that there is neuronal degeneration in the inner retina of RCS rat.Transneuronal degeneration may be the mechanism.

To research the gerbil used as an experimental animal model on gerontology, we investigated the SOD activity and MDA content in liver, MAO B activity in brain and hydroxyproline(HYP)content in skin as well as 17 ketosterids in urin of young and old gerbil ones. The activity of SOD, the content of 17 ketoteeroid and HYP were increased in old gerbil than in young gerbil. Meanwhile the content of MDA, and activity of MAO B in old were higher than young's. The change along with age in gerbil is similar to that in rat and mouse. So it can be used as an instead antiaging experimental animal model.

Objective: To compare and research the protein composition of H 22 cell lines from different institutes.Methods: H 22 cell lines attained from three institutes were kept in abdominal cavity of KM mouse.The protein composition of different H 22 cell lines were compared with SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS\|PAGE) and immunohistochemistry methods.Results: SDS\|PAGE electrophoresis showed that the numbers of protein bands of H 22 from different institutes were different,and there were five bands that their pigmentary intensities markedly varied,which indicated that the corresponding protein contents in different H 22 cell lines were different. The protein composition of PDGF\|A,TrkA,Gai,CDk2,NFκ Bp65 showed qualitative difference ( p <0.01).Conclusion: There were obvious differences among the different H 22 cell lines in the protein composition.

In the present study,the pharmacological effect of Mairuikang in mouse and rat models were observed.The results showed that the drug could significantly prolong the survival time of mice in condition of hypoxia.It indicated that Mairuikong could reduce the oxygen consumption of cardiac muscle increased by Isoprenaline.Mairuikong could also decrease the increase of activity of rats serum AST,α HBDH,CPK and LDH caused by Isoprenaline in different level.Pathological study showed Mairuikong could reduce the myocardial injury.

Four indices of anti\|fatigue test were studied in this paper,in order to discern dynamic changes and determine reference values of each index.the results show that reference value of swimming time is 196~1420 seconds in mice burdened with weight of 5% body weight (density is 48cm 2 each mouse,water temperature is 25℃);reference value of blood lactate is 1.77~6.56mmol/L in a state of quiet,and 3.55~9.29mmol/L after brief acute movement in mice;serum urea nitrogen is 7.86~13.14mmol/L in base condition,and 6.97~24.90mmol/L after long duration movement;liver hepatin is 1452.8~5279.4mg/100g liver weight in base state,and 39.9~3163.3mg/100g liver weight after long duration acute movement.

In order to investigate whether it was suitable to choose plateau pikas(Ochotona curzoniae) as an object of experimental electricardiographic observation, the electricardiograms (ECG) of 30 grown up plateau pikas were measured. The results revealed that the basic wave pattern of the ECG of plateau pika was similar to that of human being. Heart rhythm of plateau pika was sinus original. Owing to the fast heart rate of plateau pika (359 6±28 3 beats per minute, bpm), the P\|wave of the pika ECG usually occured on the descending branch of T\|wave. The Q\|T interval and K\|value of the pika were both higher than those of rat, mouse, and clawed jird. The range of the pika ECG axis (59 5±43 6 degrees)changed greatly. Seventy three percent (73%) of them showed S\|T segments in their ECG. Compared with the ECG of rodents (rat, mouse and clawed jird), the ECG of plateau pika was move closed to that of human beings. The results suggested that it would be more suitable to choose plateau pikias as a new kind of laboratory animals for electrocardiographic experiental studies.

Hematological indices and biochemical indices have been measured and analyzed for getting the physiological reference values of hematology and biochemistry in F 14 ~F 15 of grey hamsters ( Cricetulus migratorus) . Comparsion of the referenc values were made between the two month and ten month age and between male and female. It was different in sex for RBC, Hgb, HCT, CL, Glu, Tp, ALB and CREA in the ten month age and PLT, L, N, ALB, Glu and Amy in the two month age, and between ages for MCV, MCH, PLT, Ca, P, TG, UREA, ALP, ALT and LD. The enzyme activities and electolyte contents in serum of grey hamsters were higher than ones of human being, which is one of the ways for the rodents adapting to arid environments.

The authors studied the effect of YIGANKANG granules on immunization of mice. The results showed that (1) the clearance of charcoal particles on macrophage of liver and spleen and the phagocytic percentage and index of abdominal cavity macrophage were increased in mice; (2) the lysozme content were raised; (3) the anti\|SRBC body level were raised and the hemolysin and agglutinin content in serum were increased; (4) the peripheral blood ANAE + lymphocytes percentage in mice of immunosuppression were enhanced and T\|lymphocyte blastogensis ability induced by PHA were raised. These results indicated that YIGANKANG granules could improve function of specific and nonspecific immunity.

Three embryo transfer methods of laboratory mice: the oviduct transfer, the transfer through the wall of the fallopian tube and the uterine transfer were studied and compared by using the embryos from C 57 BL/6J mouse, BDF 1 mouse and Kunming mouse as foster mother. It was also discussed for each transfer method that which is better to different mouse strains, different experiment, and different litter birth rates. The results may provide a useful reference material for some of laboratory animals and animal experiments.
