Abstract: The propose of this experiment is to determine the energy requirement of adult beagle dogs.Two\|year old adult male beagles were used in this study.Twenty dogs were divided into four groups and each group had five ones.Each dog was kept in a stainless steel metabolism cage and each group had one of four energy level diets for six weeks.Dogs were fed once a day and weighed weekly.Feces were collected in the third week.Constancy of body weight was used as the main criterion for the assessment of maintenance energy.The maintenance metabolism energy requirements of adult beagle dogs was 281KJ/kg.d.

摘要： 2岁左右健康实验用成年雄性比格犬 2 0只随机分为 4组 ,每组 5只 ,每只在代谢笼内单笼饲养 ,用不同能量水平日粮饲喂 6周 ,每周称重 ,第三周收集犬的粪便 ,共收集 4d。依据试验期犬体重恒定做为判定标准 ,得到成年比格犬维持代谢能需要量为每天每千克体重 2 81KJ。
