SPF Wistar rats had been fed for 7 weeks since they were weaned at 3 weeks old.The main indexes of hemato logy,organ relative weight and length of head,body and tail were examined in the rats aged 3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10 weeks.The results indicated that when the rats grew older,the values of RBC,HGB and HCT of blood gradually increased,the main organ relative weight became lower except liver,and the length of head,body and tail increased.

To establish a mouse model for infectious disease caused by Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli O157:H7,weaned mice were inoculated via oral gastric inoculation with E.coli O157:H7 EDL933W strain and simultaneously treated with mitomycin and nalidixic acid.The mice were examined for clinical symptoms and histopathological changes after bacterial inoculation.Many pathological changes were seen and many of them were the same with the changes that caused by human infection of E.coli O157:H7.This model could be used to study the pathogenesis of E.coli O157:H7 and security of vaccine candidate.

Objective\ To compare the Concertritions of total Cholesterol(TC) and Triglyceride(TG) in the KM and NIH mouse of SPF.Method\ CHO PAP Method was used to determine TC;GPO PAP Method was used to determine TG.Result\ (1)The result of the female KM mouse was TC:(2 55±0 45)mmol/L,TG:(0 96±0 20)mmol/L.(2)The result of the male KM mouse was.TC:(2 80±0.45)mmol/L,TG:(0 78±0 17)mmol/L.(3)The result of the female NIH mouse was TC:(3 74±0 56)mmol/L,TG:(2 19±0 81)mmol/L.(4)The result of the male NIH mouse was TC:(4 23±0 77)mmol/L,TG:(1 44±0 55)mmol/L.Conclusion\ Sex and strain could affect on TC and TG of mice.

Objective\ To study on rabbit's tolerance to bacterioendotoxin's pyrogen after the rabbits were used in the pyrogen test for several times;Methods\ The routine pyrogen tests were carried out for three times every other day.Injection the same dose of endotoxin to the same rabbit,and then recorded the temperature at every 15 minutes within three hours after injection. Results \ The temperature after the third injection in obviously lower than the ones after the first and second injection.Conclusion\ Rabbits can occur resistance to bacterioendotoxin's pyrogen aftet they are used for several times in pyrogen test.

Objective\ In order to study the effect of diets with different contents and ratio of calcium and phosphorus on the blood chemistry of growing beagles.Method\ 28 growing beagles were randomly divided into 7 groups and raised on diets with composition meeting the GB and levels of Ca to P ratio 0.4∶1\,1.2∶1\,3.6∶1.Blood samples were collected by anterior leg vein at the end of trial,and the concentrations of serum calcium phosphorus Creatinine total protein albumin and the activity of alkaline phosphates were measured.Results\ Serum calcium concentrations were significantly greater in the group which has high ratio of calcium to phosphorus than the low one.The serum concentrations increase with the ratios of calcium to phosphorus,and there was not significant difference in the same ratio group.However the changes of the concentrations of serum phosphorus in all groups were opposite to calcium.The concentrations of the serum total protein albumin and creatinine showed no consistent different among the groups.

Objective\ To study the intestinal absorption for calcium and phosphorous in high dietary levels of calcium by growing laboratory beagal dogs.Methods\ Digestive test was employed.Results\ Calcium excretion in feces improved obviously,Apparent calcium degistibility gradually decreased and daily intestinal absorption for calcium increased when dietary calcium level increased from 1.2% to 2.4%.Phosphorous excretion in feces improved obviously and Apparent phosphorous degistibility and daily intestinal absorption for phosphorous decreased significantly.Conclusions\ Dogs have the ability of regulating intestinal absorption for calcium by changing calcium excretion in feces.High calcium consuption reduce the intestinal absorption for phosphorous

Ai_Li_Xiao is a proved recipe which obtained from ChangBai mountain, and fresh herbs. NIH mice injected Ehrlich carcinoma for solid tumor were used, and then 40 mice divided into 4 groups, (1) was control group, (2) positive group: cyclophosphamide was used, (3)Ai_Li_Xiao group l:dosage was 2.6g/kg (5 times of adult dose), (4)Ai_Li_Xiao group 2: dosage was 5.2g/kg (10 times of adult dose). The results showed that Ai_Li_Xiao had obviously inhibition effects of tumor, and the inhibitory rate of 2.6g/kg groups has 43.9%—50.4%, and the inhibitory rate in 5.2g/kg group was 53 3%—56 3%,and had a significant difference. The further study should be done in the future.

The SPF experiment animal quater is a barrier system that needs constant temperature, stable relative humidity and pressure gradient. When this system is on use there must be a complete automatic system to provide the power(electric, hot etc) supply. This automatic system can keep the pressure gradient, air clean degree, temperature and relative humidity ect in the range of the national standard to make the clean system in the normal use and no serious accident.

Objective\ To investigate the anesthesia and management of pig models during the operation of establishing acute hepatic failure. Methods\ The pigs were endotracheal intubated and anesthetizeded by inhalation of Enflurane and N 2O. Results The intubation of pig had its own characteristics. The changes of hemodynamics decreased significantly during clamping of portal vein and inferior vena cava. Conclusion\ It is feasible for pigs to be executed intubation without relaxing muscles. The key elements of successful pig models of acute hepatic failure are good surgical technology and maintenance of stable hemodynamics in occulsion phase of portal vein and inferior vena cava.
