Bile Duct Occlusion-induced Liver Fibrosis in Rats

objective To establish liver fibrosis model induced by bile duct occlusion in rats.Method The bile ducts of female Wistar rats were completely occluded by retrograde injection of cyanoacrylate tissue adhesives and ligation.Serum ALT,AST,HA,LN were determined on days 28,56 following the occlusion.Livers were examined for histopathological changes on 56 days.A sham-operation group was used as a control.Results Serum ALT,AST,HA,LN levels of model group were highter than that of control group (P<0.001).Profound fibrosisi surrouding hyperplastic bile ductules were seen in model group.Conclusion Bile duct ligation could induce stable and reproducible fibrosis,and may serve as a convenient procedure for screening antifibrotic agents.

objective To establish a rat ulcerative colitis(UC) model and observe the abnormality of its electrical activity of colon.Methods The rat-models of ulcerative colitis were induced by 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene(DNCB),an electrode was buried in rats' colon and their colonic electricity was recorded.Conclusion It was found that colon of rat-models developed typical ulceration and colonic electricity was abnormal,the basic electric rhythm(BER) of colon was slowed;extent of contractile electrical complex(CEC) was decreased and the percentage of BER and CEC loaded with peak electricity were markedly lowered.

The phenomenon of trichomadesis in Rhesus monkey decreases the economic value of laboratory animals and damages their health.We used vitamin C and vitamin H as experiment agents to study the therapeutic effect for trichomadesis.The result indicated that vitamin C was more effective than vitamin H,and there was better effect if we used both of them.

Hematological and blood biochemical index of smad3 mice the 35d were determinated.The results studied the changes of the hematological and blood biochemical index of Smad3 knockout mice. There were a few significant differences in mice between sexes(male and female mice).The parameters of the WBC and hemoblast of homozygous mutants were higher than those of heterozygous mutants and wild-types.The parameters of CER,GPT,CL,CA and MG were significant different among three types through statistics;The other parameters were no significant different.The parameters of GLU,CK,UA,TG,GPT,GOT,BUN and LDH-L of homozygous mutants were higher than those of wild-types,but the parameters of CRE,CA and MG were lower.

In order to evaluate the various methods of collecting blood samples,10 goats and 24 rabbits were treated with dense frequency,including from vena jugularis,auruvein and pipette etc.The results show that sampling from the vena jugularis is of the great convenience for goat,while sampling through intubation is suitable for rabbit other than from vein and heart directly.
