    The Expression of ras Gene in the Liver Tissues of the Tree Shrews Exposed to Human Hepatitis B Virus and/or Aflatoxin B 1

    To study P 21 over expression related to hepatocarcinogenesis in the tree shrews solely infected with hepatitis B virus(HBV)(group A), solely exposed to aflatoxin B 1(AFB 1)(group B), both infected with HBV and exposed to AFB 1(group C), control group(group D). Using immunohistochemical technique, the P 21 was investigated in tree shrew liver tissues by biopsies at 44th 104th 119th weeks. Untill 119th week, the accumulative total detecting rates of liver tissues in group A B C D were 35.3% 5.3% 13.3% 0%, respectively. The result suggested that exposure to HBV and AFB 1 may play a synergistic role in the expression of ras gene in the tree shrews.

    The rat model of experimental hyperthyroidism induced by the drug was built and the myocardium creatine kinase changes were analysized by immunohistochemical staining method. The results showed that the staining color decrease occurred as hyperthyroidism got more serious, which inferred that the state of myocardial ischemic got more and more serious by extension of the course of the disease.

    45 conventional SD female rats were randomly divided into three groups: the normal control, the model control and the therapeutic group. The model of MGH was induced by injecting rats with estradiol benzoatis and progesterone. Rats in the normal control were received saline injection only. The therapeutic group was treated with Jianruling for 60 days after making MGH. The height of teats, levels of serum reproductive hormones and changes of histological structure of the mammary glands were measured and observed. The results showed that the levels of serum prolactin, follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) and estradiol of the model control were significantly higher(P<0.05 or P<0.01), but luteinizing hormone(LH) and progesterone were significantly lower(P<0.05 or P<0.01) than that of the normal control. The height of 2nd and 3rd pairs of teat in model control increased significantly compared to that of normal control(P<0.01). In the therapeutic group, the results suggested that Jianruling modulate the secretive function of pituitary ovarian and exert obvious ameliorative effects on histological structure of mammary glands in MGH rats.

    In order to investigate the effects of acupuncture on facial nerve regeneration, we have set up an animal model, which make our investigation getting on with fluency and compared with the control group, the group received acupuncture treatment gets higher quality in facial nerve regeneration. The results show that the model is practical and scientific. This article introduced the establishing method in details, which included what kind of animal should be used, what acupoints were chosen and how to locate the acupoints, how to adjust the treatmental parameters, and then how to perform the tharapy.

    Immunomodulation effect of Ganoderma lucidum (Lyess.ex fr.)Karst were studied. Extract of GLK divided into three dosages(which were in high, middle and low level respectively) was infused into stomach of BALB/c mice for 15 days and in the control group, freely intaking water. The spleen cell PFC test and DHT test were measured in 4 groups after immunization by SRBC. The carbon granules Clearance Test was measured too. The extract was proved to be significantly increased PFC P <0 05 (include high and middle dosage) and DHT ( P <0 05) for experimental groups (in high dosage), but Clearance Test had no change. Thus GLK might be regarded as an immune enhancer. It can enhance the abilities of T and B Lymphocytes.

    Evidence of ischemic necrosis of the femoral head was observed in animals that received weekly injection of methyl prednisolone over a six to eighteen week peorid, including marrow edema, diminished hemotopoiesis, fat cell hypertrophy, the empty osteocyte lacunae, subchondral fracture and repairing response markedly increased, The results suggested that the animal model using chickens for steroid induced ischemic necrosis of the femoral head was better than that of using rabbits.

    It is successful to breed Scid mice in laminor flow hood using plastic cage with filter cap. Average newborn mice per litter is 4.8, pregnancy rate is 66.7%, weaning rate is 96.6%. In allogenetic bone marrow transplantation(allo BMT), its activated bone marrow NK cells can improve bone marrow implantation and hematological recovery, prevent Graft Versus Host Disease (GVHD),and increase Graft Versus Tumor effection (GVT). This way can be used for mid short feeding of Scid mice if modern housing is absent or the fund is not adequate.

    During the dissection of grown up plateau pika (Ochotona curzoniae), we found that the numbers of the bones, especially the ribs, sesamoid bones in a plateau pika were more than those in a rabbit. The caecum was quite developed, containing a lot of sacculations and circular folds. The absolute weights of most viscera, such as the heart, liver, spleen, lungs, kidneys and so on were just a little lighter in females than those in males ( p >0.05). There was a positive correlation between the absolute weight of these vescera and the body weight. On the contrary, the absolute weights of the thymus in females were greater than those in males, and the thymus appeared lighter along with the increasing body weight. The coefficients of the viscera, such as the heart, liver, spleen, lungs, kidneys and others in females were significantly higher than those in males ( p <0.01), and the coefficients of these viscera showed a negative correlation with the body weight. In the view of anatomy, the structures in different parts of the pika's body were closely related to the habits, behavior and physical condition.

    The chromosome scaffold of rat ( Rattus norvegicus var. albulus ) was studied by the combination of TEM, cytochemical EM, RNase gold complexes labeling and Ag staining technologies. RNP was shown in chromosomes in situ by the combination of ultra thin section and RNP preferred staining method. Meanwhile, RNA was shown by the combination of Ag staining TEM and RNase gold complexes labelling. The results showed that the localization of silver granules and gold particles in chromosome was the same as that of RNP. It indicated that Ag staining protein was nonhistone protein of chromosome scaffold and protein components of RNP, that is, nonhistone protein observed, protein components of RNP and Ag staining protein was the same.

    Kainic acid(KA) was used in inducing epilepsy model in rats. The results showed that the model could be estalished by intraperitioneal injection of three doses of KA(6、10、14mg/kg), and it also showed the latent period and the time of seizure was significantly reduced ( P <0 01) and the dead rate was increasing.

    Using BALB/c mice as model animal, we studied inducible nitric oxide (NO) synthesis in activated murine macrophages. Activated murine macrophage can synthessis NO through an L arginine pathway which is toxic to sorts of pathogen and tumor cell. The synthesis of NO by IFN γ activated murine macrophages was investigated. Shortly after stimulated with IFN γ directly in vitro, macrophages synthesized and released NO.The amount of released NO is related with the dosage of stimulating IFN γ. TNF α significantly enhanced macrophages NO synthesis. Macrophages, separated from BALB/c mice that had been injected with 10000μ IFN γ,released large amount of NO, which is remarkably different with control group mice ( P <0 01). These results suggested that synthesis inducible is a kind of nonspecific response to stimulus, which played an important role in immunological response against infection.

    In order to investigate the influence of different dosages of local irradiation on weight of testis, ultrastructure, sexual hormones and leukocyte. The different dosages of local irradiation were performed on testis of Wistar rats. The weignt of testis, serum level of testosterone, follicle Stimulating hormone and Leukocyte count were measured and ultrastructure was observed. The results showed that the weight of testis decreased gradually as dosages of irradiation increased and time of irradiation was prolonged. There was a positive correlation between the weight of testis and dosage and time of irradiation. But the weight of testis was not altered significantly when the increase of dosage and time of irradiation to a certain extent. Observation of ultrastructure showed the degeneration and necrosis of spermospore, and these changes were irreversible as time of irradiation lasted longer. Morphosis of interstitial cells was not altered significantly and totally recovered, testosteroe, follicle stimulating hormone and leukocyte count had no remarkable changes during the whole experimental processes. These results indicated that local irradiation of testis might damage its function of speramatogenesis, but had no influence on secretion of sexual hormones and leukocyte.
