kinds of semen\|diluting medium (TTEG, EYCG) and 3 procedures have been tried in the experiment of cryopreservation of spermatozoa from Beagle. The best result was obtained by the procedure of PSF with EYCG buffer (containing 5% glycerol) with 40 min equilibrium time. After freshthawing, the highest percentage of anabiosis is 74%, survival rate is 97%. The result indicate that cryopreservation of spermatozoa from Beagle is best accomplished by EYCG medium containing 5% glycerol with PSF procedure.

Thirty Mongolian gerbils (\%Meriones unguiculatus)\% were analyzed for their reference index of blood cells and serum biochemical parameters, including erythrocyte, leukocyte, hemoglobin, platelet, leukocyte types, glucose, bilirubin, cholesterin, total proteins as well as protein electrophorosis. The results show that the parameters of total proteins, glucose, bilirubin, hemoglobin are similar to those of Rats.

Determination paramters of immunologic functiions by five methods in 832 Kunming mice and 83 BALB/c mice was conducted. The results showed that the OD is 0.01480.0192 in KM and 0.012010.0206 in BALB/c in transfer ability of splenocytes by ConA irradiated mice; ear\|weight\|deviation of mice is 10.3912.17mg in Km, 11.46816.234 in BALB/c in delayed type hypersensitivity (DTH) by dinitrofluorobenzene (DNFB) irradiated mice; antibody integral of sero hemolysin is 78.9891.30 in KM and 106.73116.07 in BALB/c; clearance index of charcoal particles (a) in KM and BALB/c are 4.7514.858 and 4.4705.598 respectively; phagocytosis index of murine peritoneal macrophage is 0.3980.461 in KM, 0.3310.499 in BALB/c and phagocytosis percentage (%) is 33.7237.18 in KM and 29.2441.10 in BALB/c. The confidence limited of all of above parameters are 99%. DTH and antibody integral of sero hemolysin in KM and BALB/c are significant deference (P<0.01). It suggested that normal index of immunolgic function could provid basic valuble data for study of immunology, pharmacology and health foods, also perfect biological intension of Kunming mice. During the study of DTH and antibody integral of sero\|hemolysin in immunopharmacolgy, immunotoxinology and health foods, BALB/c mice should be first selected as experimental material. Otherwise, to detect other three immunologic indexs should be first selected KM mice.

In order to sutdy the effects and the mechanism of Chinese herb \!CuShengTang" on promoting the cervical ripening of the pregnant mice. The E2 and P levels of mice blood were tested by radioimmunoassay and the cervical collagen fibers of mice were examined under light microscope. Comparing with the control group: the experimental group delivered two days early, E2 level was higher (p<0.001) and P level was lower(p<0.05), the tissue of cervix was sparsed and the collagen fiber rearranged and broke. Chinese herb \!CuShengTang" has clear effect on promoting the cervical ripening of the pregant mice. Changing of E2P level increased the activity of the cervical collagenase, leading to a rearrangment and break of the cervical collagen fibers.

Transdermal absorption of skin of the BALB/c mutant mice using Metronidazole and Azone were studied.And compared with Kunming mice.There was significant differences of the transdermal absorption between the BALB/c mice and the Kunming mice.we aslo found the data dispersed degree of the \{BALB/c\} mice was better than the KunMing mice.

The studies were carried out to find out if Tang Shang Ning(TSN) has analgesic and anti-inflammatory activites for the purpose of using the preparation to treat burn. the writhing in mice and the withdraw response stimulated to with laser beam in rats were used to evaluate the analgesic effect of TSN and the ear edema induced by dimethlphenbenzene was used to evaluate the anti-inflammatory acti-inflammatory activity of TSN. TSN administrated via ip or po route could significantly inbihit the writhing response induced by 06% acetic acid (ip).It was also observed that the latencies of withdraw(pain thrseholds)at the margin of burn determined by laser beam stimulation were markedly elongated after applied TSN to the surface of skin-burn in rats.TSN had no anti-inflammlatory activity on the model of earedema in mice when administrated to the normal skin of the ear. TSN has markedly analgesic activity.

The rat was injected subcutaneously with the dose of 48 mg D-galactose/Kg/day for 42 days.The result was that the weight of thymus and spleen changed and the activity of serum SOD decreased.This showed the possibility of estalishing the aging model with mimetic aging reactions induced by D-galactose.

We have investigated the histopathological changes in the respiratory tract of 74 Wistar rats which in the control groups of two subchornic experiment that lasted 64 days and 90 days separately.We noticed that there were inflammatory reactions in tracheas,bonchi and pulmonary alveolis.The most dramatic pathological change was peribornchial lymphocyte infiltration and the bronchial mucous epithelial cells have been replaced.The incidence of this change in two groups were 8571% and 9231% respectively.Simultaneously,the vascular inflammatory infiltration,the thicken of alveolar septum and the focuses of inflammatory infiltration in lung have also been observed.The pathological changes were greater in the animals which had undergone a longer experiment period than those had undergone a shorter one.These results indicated that the quality and feeding environment of experimental animals play key roles in a pathologic diagnosis process and they would influent the evaluation of the results in experiments gre

Statistical analysis was done for the rate of micronucleus of bone marrow cell of Kunming mouse.induced by Cyclophosphamide (40 mg/kgBW) in our lab,the mouse were provided by Chinese Academic of Military Medicine.It showed that mean value of the rate of micronucleus for female is 31.68,standard deviation was 941,and for male was 2832,standard deviation was 7.67 in Cyclophosphamide group;In negative control group,mean value of the rate of micronucleus for female is 1.78,standard deviation was 0.55,and for male was 1.68,standard deviation was 0.45. In both group,there is not a significant difference between female and male (P>0.01).it is thought that rate of micronucleus induced by Cyclophosphamide were basically stable.It is applicable to use Cyclophosphamide (40mg/kgBW) to do positive test of micronucleus,and it is suggested that it be done only once per year.
