Abstract: Abstract: The roles of veterinary in laboratory animal management were summarized in present paper，which highlighted on veterinary action in construction，operation and management of laboratory animal facility． It also included important function of veterinary in designing and maintenance of laboratory animal facility，approval of laboratory animal both domestically and internationally． In addition，this paper illustrated the duty of veterinary in either laboratory animal health care， nurse and transportation， animal experiments design and performance， laboratory animal welfare supervising and management，evaluation and administration of biosafety，as well as control of drugs and castoff in animal experiments．

摘要： 摘要: 全面概述了兽医在实验动物工作中的作用，重点阐述了兽医在实验动物设施建设、运行与管理中的作用，包 括兽医在实验动物设施设计、设施运行管理及国内、国际的实验动物认证中发挥的重要作用。同时阐明了兽医工 作在实验动物健康保障和护理、运输管理、动物实验的设计与实施、实验动物福利监督与管理、生物安全的评价与 管理中的作用以及兽医对实验动物各种药品和废弃物管理中的作用。
