Since 1980 the Pneumonia Virus of Mice(PVM)strain has been isolated form mice feeding in our farm and propagated with chick enbryo. The culture could led to paghological changes. IF test of freeze section of lung ang antibody production test in infected SPF mice was performed with U.S. reagent kit as control. The results shawed that the culture is PVM Strain, and called PVM-BJ. From 1985-1988 the antiboby in expermental mice was tested and such as the positive rate of mouse antibody reached 52% in 1986.

Negative isolator has been using for animal expeiment for more than ten years in developped counties. It can not only improve the tests and get exact conclusion, but prevent environmental pollution from animal pathogens. Recently, China has imported some isolators for animal experiment. We have used negative isolators and SPF chicks to prepare two antisera to Infectious Bursal Disease Virus and Newcastle Disease Virus successfully. The quality of avian antisera prepared are as good as we expected. The antisera are tested for specificity to 12 avian antigens by means of different serological procedures. The result reveals that specificity of antisera are excellent. They are fully suitable for scrological diagnosis and research.
