In orthogonal and design tests,48minks. 12guinea-pigs and 12 rabbits were inoculated respectively with the inactivated vaccines from cell- cultures of mink enteritis virus(MEV)with mineral oil or Al(OH)3 gel adjuvant for detecting the serum haemagglutination-inhibition(HI)antibody of those animals during 6- 40days post-vaccination(P. V)and serumneutralizing(SN)antibody of minks during 11- 3l days P.V.The results proved for the first time by statistical analysis that:(l)Both vaccines could evoke equal humoral immune efficiency:(2)The difference was not significant in the eserum HI antibody response of guinea-pigs. rabbits and minks during 11- 40 days P.V. and the levels of HI antibody from 6 to 40 days are consilient. Hence, instead of minks, guinea- pigs or rabbits are reliable laboratory animal models for detecting the levels of serum HI antibody:(3)There was significantly positive rank corelation between log1050%vnfroml1 to 3l days P. V in mixed serum of minks. Therefore the levels of serum HI antibody are reliable indexes for detecting humoral immune efficiency for minks P.V.Challenge experiment with both vaccines in 29minks and area experiment with more than 8. 00O.000 doses of MEV vaccines with mineral oil or Al(OH)3 gel adjuvant for minks showed that there was complete positive corelation among HI antibody Level,SNI and immune protective potency of minks P.V.. Accordingly.the level of HI antibody of guinea-pigs or rabbits determined during ll-40 days P.V.is a desirable index for evaluating humoral immune efficiency and protective potency of the vaccines for minks, thus providing some economic, simple, reliable indexes and laboratory animal models for monitoring the immune efficiency of MEV vaccines in large scale. All these have been extensively used in productive practlce in the last few years.

AMS/5is a new inbred strain mouse which ancestor came from the closed colony LACA mice.Currently, the strain have reproduced to fifty-three generations;Coat color gene tests of the mice with white hair show that the coat color gene is AABBccDD, Genetic monitoring including skin graft.biochemical markers, chromosome marker corresponses to the inbred strain standard. The reproductive performances are as following:The litter size is 7.5(5-8).weaning rate s 95%(except the first litters). The adult mice weight l8.97±l.04g for female and 21;60±l.68g for male. Serum IgG increases with the old of ages.Themice have been widely used in medical research fields such as in the radiation medicine, immunology, and toxiology. It is a new kind of amimnal model for medical experiments.

hematological and biochemical values of male and female Wistar rats at different ages were determined.Compared with those reported in the literatures, the result showed the rats had lower values of Hb T.Bil UA Mg,TG and higher values of Alb, Cl.Such values as Cre, Ca, Cl and 40-90d TP were within the ranges of human normal values, respectively. The values of BUN.P Mg, and TG were higher than those of human Neither ages nor sexes affected the values of serum Ca and CHO.No marked age differences of T. Bil and sexual differences of Cl occurred in the rats.Other values were markedly affected by ages and sexes When selecting animals in experiments it suggested that the species or breeds as Well as ages and sexes of them should be stressed.

As a control of Harbin White Pigs, Xiang Pigs at different ages were studied by the conventional methods for their percentage of stimulated lymphocytes, serum complement titer and concentration of r-globulin to provide scientific basis which is considered as a kind of model for experimental animal in immunology. The results showed that the notable differences exist in the percentage of stimulated lymphocytes and the concentration of r-globulin between Xiang Pig and Harbin White Pig.The lower than that of Harbin White Pig but the concentration of serum r-globulin is higher than that of Harbin White Pig. There is no apparent difference in the serum complement titer between Xiang Pig and Harbin White Pig.

Arterial blood and cerebrospinal fluid(CSF):samples from 30 normal anesthetized dogs were analyzed. Results are as follows: CSF pH and[K]were lower than arterial blood(P<0.0l)the liner regression equation were respectively CSF pH=0.477pHa+3.78: CSF[K+]=0.418[K+]a+1.12CSF Pco2.[Cl-]. And [Lactate] were tigher than arterial blood(P<0.01).the liner regression were respectively CSF pco2=0.564 PaCO=3.5325; CSF[Cl-]=0.5[Cl-]a+76.7;CSF[Lactate]=0.05[Lactate]a+1.0 Comparison of [HCO3-] and [Na+] between arterial blood and CSF were on significance. There was a significanetly positive corelation between CSFPCO2 and CSF [HCO3-]=1.898CSFPCO2+10.6
