In this paper, thirteen biochemical loci of alleles distributed over nine chromosomes of the TMU mice have been surveied and determined by electrophoresis of cellulese acitate film of isoenzyme and isoprotein. To observe genetic purity and genetic distribution on these loci. The result showed that alleles on determined loci are all homozygotes. Further, one aspect on genetic purity of biochemical marker demonstrats that the TMU-mice have been up to inbred strains.

According to the criterions of our country and those concerned references,a new composition of granulated feed for feeding CXA-1 mice was designed and used in our department. The granules of this feed measured 12mm in diameter and contained crude protein, fat, thick fibre. calcium and phosphorus of 20.5%, 9.2%, 5%, 1.35% and 0.8% in their given order. The contents of the other nutrient component in the feed all were within the standard limits. The feeding results for 7 years showed the pregancy rate, breed numbres per litter and survival rate after weaning of the animals fed with the feed exceeded those of the same animals fed with the other composition feed which was used previously in our department. The results suggested that this granulated feed basically satisfy the demand for culture of CXA-1 r-inbred mice and come up the level of full value nutrition.

Four inbred strains of mice and four inbred strains of rats had been introduced from Beijing since 1989, and maintained in our center. All of these strains, as foundation colonies, were kept according to a modified parallel line system with full brother-sister mating, accompanied with complete pedigree records including breeding record cards, pedigree charts and pedigree books. Up to now, all strains survived to 9~13 generations. We did not find genetic "pollution", with the genetic testing method established by us.other data obtained were normal. The results showed that the method of maintenance is right.

Comparison was made on the development of 2-cell rabbit embryos cultured in vitro for 114 hours in 3 different media f A. Medium 199+bovine serum, B. Medium 199+albumin bovine V, and C. Medium 199+insulin + transferrin + glutamin. It demonstrated that embryos developed faster in media A and B than those in medium C. Percentage of 2-cell rabbit embryos developed to blastocysts in the above 3 media was 77.0%,64.8% and 7.O% respectively. Experinemts showed that the cultrue effect of group A was similar to group B and both of them were better than group C. So medium B was the good culture medium for studying the influencial factor of rabbit embryomic development.

The serum electrolytes (Poasium (K), Sodium (Na), Chlorid(Cl),Calcium(Ca), Phosphate(P), total carbon dioxide (Tco2)and anion gap(AG)) from HAMS/ C Inbred mice were measured with ion-selective electrod(ISE) analyzer, and compared with KM and DBA/2 mice. The result showed that there are significant differences(P< 0.05 or P< 0.01) in P and AG of serum between female and male HAMS / C Inbred mice, but other electrolytes (Na,K, Cl and Ca) are not significant differences(P>0.05).There are significant differences(P< 0.01) in Na, K and AG of serum of HAMS / C Inbred mice, compared with KM mice, also significant differences(P< 0.01) in Na, K, Ca, P and AG of serum of HAMS / C Inbred mice, compared with DBA / 2 mice. The experiment proved that there is the special property on serum electrolytes of HAMS / C Inbred mice.

20 adult rats were examined and we found Trichosomoide crassicauda worms in 13 instances. which harbord from 3~14 with an average of 7 worms. All are femiles. Morphotropy and culture in vitro of eggs have been invested. Worms is long in 10.31± 0.36mm, wide in 15.50± 6.48μm; eggs are elliptic, sized (63.67±0.95)×(36.67 ±1. 39) μm. 80 eggs are cultured in a very simple media (Nacl 0.9%%+penicilline), 48 hours later, 20 eggs died; 72 hours, half of them died; 96 hours, only 4 survived; 120 hours, all died. It showed that eggs can live on a longer time even through they are cultured in a simple media.

Serum IgG of a new mutant hairless mfor was determined and compared with those of other two phenotypes (with normal haired coat and sparse haired coat). The results showed that serum IgG of mice incereased with the increase of ages. Except for one-month-age, thcrc were no significant differences between the three phenotypes and sexes at 2-and 3- month age, respectively. It suggested that the mutation not cause the change of serum IgG of adult mice.

The development of cancer research has been promoted strongly by the creation of transgenic mice technique. Transgenic mice are the excellent models for the study of development, growth, metastasis, prevention and therapy of human malignant tumors in vivo. There are multiple genes especially oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes involved in'the genetic alterations which regulating the growth and differentiation of cells. It may be necessary to pay attention to the different expression patterns in independently produced transgenic mouse lines constructed with the same structural oncogene. Specializtion and enterprization may be important for our country to speed up the applied researche of transgenic animals in many scientific ficlds.
