Abstract: Abstract: The biological characteristics of grey hamster ( Cricetulus migratorius ) were briefly introduced for ecological adaptability，reproduction，growth，blood biochemistry，hibernation and bring pathogenic spectrum，the establishments on the animal models both plague and hydatid disease with grey hamster，and the application of grey hamster for echinococcosis，plague，kala-azar and scald． It is discussed for the application prospects of grey hamster．
