Abstract: To observe the effect and dose effect relationship of recombinant human epidermal growth factor (rh\|EGF) on burn wound healing in rabbits, 15 rabbits were randomly divided into 5 groups, which were 3 different concentrations of rh\|EGF, rh\|EGF matrix and blank control respectively. 6 wounds of two degree burn wound were prepared on the back of each rabbit. The healing effect was assessed by measuring burn area and histology. All the burn areas were reducing with time duration, high dose rh\|EGF had the best effect, the wound re\|epidermidalization and growth granulation actively. It suggested that rh\|EGF could accelerate wound healing and exhibit a certain dose\|effect relationship, the high dose rh\|EGF (50μg/g)has the better effect.
