Laboratory Animal Science Selected into the 2024 Capital Sci-Tech Journal Excellence Action Plan – Key Municipal Sci-Tech Journal Support Project
• # *Laboratory Animal Science* Selected for the 2024 Capital Sci-Tech Journal Excellence Initiative — Key Municipal Sci-Tech Journal Support Program
  To implement the *Opinions on Deepening Reform to Foster World-Class Scientific and Technological Journals* (Document No. Xuezifa〔2019〕38) jointly issued by the China Association for Science and Technology, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology, advance the overarching goal of building world-class sci-tech journals, cultivate a batch of world-class journals matching the development of Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center, and refine and strengthen reserve journals, the Beijing Association for Science and Technology has launched the **Capital Sci-Tech Journal Excellence Initiative** (hereinafter referred to as the Excellence Initiative).
  
  The **Key Municipal Sci-Tech Journal Support Program**, a sub-program under the initiative, provides financial support for Beijing municipal sci-tech journals featuring characteristic capital industries, solid publishing foundations and promising development potential, so as to rapidly elevate their academic quality and service capacity.
  
  After application and expert evaluation, *Laboratory Animal Science* has been selected into the Key Municipal Sci-Tech Journal Support Program under the Capital Sci-Tech Journal Excellence Initiative. Supported by this program, the journal will consistently adhere to its founding mission, integrate high-quality academic resources, innovate publishing concepts and communication channels, actively disseminate research findings of laboratory animal science, share cutting-edge scientific progress at home and abroad, strengthen academic exchanges among industry scholars, and boost the development of laboratory animal science in Beijing.
