Explanation on Submission Review of Laboratory Animal Welfare Ethics by Laboratory Animal Science
• # Statement on Submission of Animal Welfare and Ethical Review Documents for Manuscripts to *Laboratory Animal Science*
  Ethical review of animal experiments assesses the compliance of research protocols with bioethical requirements from multiple dimensions, including research necessity, scientific rationality of experimental design, standardized operation procedures and guarantee of laboratory animal welfare. Its core objective is to balance human research interests and animal welfare through comprehensive evaluation, resolve ethical conflicts arising from animal experimentation, safeguard animal welfare and advance the humane use of laboratory animals.
  
  In accordance with relevant regulatory requirements on ethical review for laboratory animal research issued by national science and technology, health authorities, to further standardize journal publication and strengthen the administration of animal welfare and ethical review in scientific research, we hereby stipulate that all authors must submit a statement of animal welfare and ethical review together with their manuscripts starting from the date of this notice. The statement shall cover key information such as animal utilization information, approval issued by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and the corresponding approval number.
