  Recently, a number of illegal websites have been using the name of the journal *Laboratory Animal Science* to solicit manuscripts for improper profit, and several authors have already been defrauded. To protect the legitimate rights and interests of all contributors and readers, our journal hereby issues a special reminder as follows:
