Abstract: Laboratory animals are the foundation and irreplaceable tools for biology and medicine science development, as the quality of which relate closely to reliability and veracity of researches, as well as safety of related products. Therefore, strict quality control of laboratory animals is imperative. As the golden standard for diseases diagnosis, pathology consisted of clinical pathology, anatomic pathology and histopathology, reflects health condition of laboratory animals comprehensively and systematically, plays a crucial role in their quality control. Furthermore, pathology offers solid bases to standardize management and guarantee the quality of laboratory animals.
