Abstract: Abstract:Oxyrrhis marina is one of marine pelagic protozoa and widely distributed in the global coastal waters，and now became model marine planktons for laboratory marine biology experiments． The feeding characteristics of O． marina on C． marina in co-culture were analysed by continuous microscopic examination． The results showed that the feeding method of O． marina on C． marina is disturbance feeding，and this feeding method was reported for the first time in the world． The results provided experimental evidences for discussing succession mechanisms of red tides and coastal biological communities．
