Abstract: Objective To explore the anti-inflammatory effect and mechanism of Shegan Zhike capsule. Method The anti-inflammatory effect of Shegan Zhike capsule was observed by ear swelling test in mice and granuloma test in rats. The mechanism of anti-inflammatory action was speculated by detecting the levels of interleukin 6 ( IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor α ( TNF-α) in the serum of mice with lung injury induced by lipopolysaccharide ( LPS) . Result Compared with the blank control group, the low, medium and high doses of Shegan Zhike capsules could significantly reduce the degree of ear swelling in mice, and the difference was significant ( P<0. 01 and P<0. 05) . Compared with the model control group, the low, medium and high doses of Shegan Zhike capsules could significantly reduce the weight of rat granulomas, and the difference was significant ( P < 0. 01 and P < 0. 05) . Compared with the model control group, the low, medium and high doses of Shegan Zhike Capsules could significantly reduce the levels of serum IL-6 and TNF-α in mice, and the difference was significant ( P<0. 01 and P<0. 05) . Conclusion Shegan Zhike capsule has certain anti-inflammatory effect and inhibiting inflammatory factors.
