Abstract: [Abstract] Objective To observe routine pathological changes of the pancreas, kidney, testis and ovary in spontaneous diabetic mice. Methods C57BL/KsJ- db/db mice with blood glucose over 10.1 mmol/L at 2, 7 and 12 month entered this study, after sacrificed, their organs pancreas, kidney, testis and ovary were soaked in 10% formalin for HE coloration and general pathological section. Results At 7 or 12 month, the pancreas tissues had lymphocyte infiltration, partial pancreas islets size increase and condulet hyperplasy ectasia; the kidney showed partial glomerular cell numbers increase, mesangial cell hyperplasy and basilar membrane thickening; the ovary was small with less egg follicle and missing corepus luteum; the testis was weak in spermatozoa genesis. Conclusion Some pathological changes of pancreas, kidney, testis and ovary may be observed in the C57BL/KsJ- db/db mice of spontaneous diabetes.
