Abstract: Objective To observe effects of dietary with different protein contents on growth and reproduction of KM mice. Methods 120 KM mice(weighting 25 g,male and female being half and half) were randomly divided into the control group, the experimental groupⅠand experimental groupⅡ;and the mice in the control group were fed with dietary containing 20% protein, the mice in the experimental groupⅠwith dietary containing 18% protein and adding with definite number of lysine and methionine, and the mice in the experimental groupⅡwith dietary containing 16% non-animal protein and adding with a large number of lysine and methionine. The growth and reproduction of KM mice were observed. Results As compared with the control group, feeding with dietary containing 18% protein and adding with definite number of lysine and methionine did not impair significantly growth and reproduction of KM mice, and feeding with dietary containing 16% non-animal protein and adding with a large number of lysine and methionine could significantly impair growth and reproduction of KM mice. Conclusion The feeding with dietary that protein content was decreased by 4% and was absent from animal protein(fish powder) could significantly impair growth and reproduction of KM mice.
