Abstract: Abstract: Chlamydia psittaci is an important zoonotic agent and it is widely msdiagnosed due to the lack of accurate，rapid，sensitive diagnostic methods and test kits available． Therefore，avian Chlamydiosis and its potential threat are ignored in poultry flock and closely contacted employees． In the present review，we take effort to summarize the research progress of the diagnostically approaches，including antigen，antibody detection as well as molecular method． The manuscript aims to highlight the technical support in view of diagnosis and epidemiology of avian Chlamydia psittaci．
