Abstract: The experimental study on animal model in the depression of the Live Qi and ins ufficiency of the Spleen Qi syndrome in recent years was reviewed, and ana lyzed the problems in it. The methods of making model were as follows:CCl\-4 inj ection, combining high fat diet with CCl\-4 injection, combining the irritating rats by clipping the tails with purging by medicines bitter in taste and cold in nature,combining the limiting diet and movement with coloclyster by acetic acid to make model of the TCM syndrome or ulcerative colitis with the the TCM syndro me. These methods opened the new pass to study this syndrome further. But there were still several problems in these model studies, which should be improved. Fo r example: the etiological similarity with the TCM syndrome, establishing the di agnosis standard and biological feature according to the animal physiological and pathological characteristic, comparing the test index each other, standardi zing the treatment fomular and herbs.
